Ex 2:23-25; Now it happened in the process of time that the king of
Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and
they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. 24 So God
heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac,
and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, AND GOD
ACKNOWLEDGED THEM ~ NKJV
These three verses closely grip my attention because of how they seem to appear in
the Middle of the Life of Moses. For those
who have followed the life of Moses, you will ably tell that the cry of the
children of Israel was closely knit to the destiny of this “Egyptian now dwelling in
Midian.”
Quite
a number of things come to my attention through these verses, the first being the process of Time which points me to
the fact that certain aspects are brought to light or fulfilled only after a
given period of time. They aren’t delayed but are rather allowed to mature that
they may yield to the exact Measure.
Secondly, the death of the King of Egypt seems to be a crucial event in the bigger picture because we see that though some would have expected the burden of the Israelites to become less, there is an increase in the bondage. This shows that the Israelites were not victim to something Physical but rather spiritual. We ourselves need to learn to approach the challenges we go through as more than what we see or hear with the physical senses because the solutions are not merely the death or destruction of “Kings on the earthly” but rather fulfillment of timing in the Heavenly.

Our God doesn’t
leave us as orphans, He “Fathers” us through His Holy Spirit as he says in his word John 14:16-18; And I will pray the Father, and
He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot
receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He
dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to
you.
So we are always aware of his work in our lives and we continuously press on to that mark of a higher calling in Christ Jesus, Knowing that our present sufferings are not worthy compared to future glory which shall be revealed in us. This doesn’t only point to the time after men have died but rather when they have overcome that which seemed to be an immovable obstacle before them and yet now lies behind them.

We are aware of God’s work in our Lives
and we acknowledge that all things are working together for our Good because He
loves us and has called us according to His purpose.
This right here reminds me of A song , I haven't been following the Moses stories prior to this ,so sorry if am off but the pain story caught my
ReplyDeleteattention & this vividly reminds me of A song "Though you slay me" Shane and Shane featuring John Piper...John pipers part speaks to me like it's the only stanza in the song & it says..
[Not only is all your affliction momentary, not only is all your affliction light in comparison to eternity and the glory there. But all of it is totally meaningful. Every millisecond of your pain, from the fallen nature or fallen man, every millisecond of your misery in the path of obedience is producing a peculiar glory you will get because of that.
I don’t care if it was cancer or criticism. I don’t care if it was slander or sickness. It wasn’t meaningless. It’s doing something! It’s not meaningless. Of course you can’t see what it’s doing. Don’t look to what is seen.
When your mom dies, when your kid dies, when you’ve got cancer at 40, when a car careens into the sidewalk and takes her out, don’t say, “That’s meaningless!” It’s not. It’s working for you an eternal weight of glory.
Therefore, therefore, do not lose heart. But take these truths and day by day focus on them. Preach them to yourself every morning. Get alone with God and preach his word into your mind until your heart sings with confidence that you are new and cared for.]
Though you slay me
Yet I will praise you
Though you take from me
I will bless your name
Though you ruin me
Still I will worship
Sing a song to the one who’s all I need
Sing a song to the one who’s all I need.
Hmmm....in times like those I have to remind myself that This is God Jeanne & not man , this is God Jeanne I repeat it over & over again , undoubtedly it can seem daunting & all but He's God&we definitely have to hang on to Him& His word to push Through , relating with Him on a personal ,intimate level because joy, peace, strength for the next day can only come through a relationship with Him & to consider it pure joy when faced with trials et all....to rethink & consider the other side, for it all works out for my good...because He is God & dassit.I could go & on but not to veer off..
HE IS GOD....
Amazzziiiing... Amen... God & Jeanne
